Daily Bible Nugget #885, Isaiah 3:12
The Nugget:
Isa 3:12 As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths. (KJV)
Isa 3:12 "Children will oppress my people. Women will rule them. My people, your guides mislead you, and you don't know which way to go." (GW, God's Word translation)
Isa 3:12 As for my people, their ruler is acting like a child, and those who have authority over them are women. O my people, your guides are the cause of your wandering, turning your footsteps out of the right way. (BBE, Bible in Basic English)
My Comment:
There were some godly, gifted women rulers in Israel, including Vashti, Esther, and Deborah. The point emphasized by Isaiah is that being under the rule of women was considered a curse in the ancient Near East.
Considering the known record of the current woman candidate for President, it would appear that a vote for Kamala Harris would:
- bring increasing higher inflation and higher prices at the grocery store;
- mandate half of all new cars be electric--an absurd idea because our electric grid does not have the capacity to support charging all those batteries and reliance on "green energy" like windmills and solar farms won't work because the wind does not always blow and the sun does always shine;
- continue the present open border policy to bring in more crime including gang violence and more fentanyl;
- continue a weakness in our support of Israel bringing increasing conflict to the middle east.
